DHS to Los Angeles: Get Used to Immigration Enforcement

Democrat politicians from around the country, and most particularly in California, are very unhappy about ICE operations in Los Angeles.

L.A. may not be ground zero for enforcement operations--there are a few hotspots with similar levels of activity--but it is definitely one of the most active.

Karen Bass, in particular, is unhappy that the city she mismanages is getting so much attention.

Bass, as usual, doesn't exactly have a keen understanding of the facts. MacArthur Park is not so much a playground as a campground for homeless drug addicts, whom she seems to believe are her key constituents. As others lose their homes in wildfires, Bass can count on the already homeless to stick by her.

If you were on X yesterday, you saw Democratic politicians after Democratic politicians screaming "fascism" and "this isn't America," not appreciating the irony that the whole point of ICE is to ensure that we remain the United States of America, not the world's drainage ditch for the dispossessed and welfare dependents. It is to reclaim America that this is happening, and with the full approval of American voters.

It is Bass who doesn't want to have her city be part of America. A former activist supporter of Castro's Cuba, she is trying to drive the federal government out of the city.

And if they can't do it using legitimate means, they are supporting those who choose to use other means. Democrats are releasing their Brownshirts to do the dirty work, hoping to create enough of a climate of fear that they get a "rioter's veto" over law enforcement.

The feds aren't giving up, regardless of what Bass and Newsom say. It's their job to enforce the law, whether Democrats like it or not.
