I would be getting tired of all these DOGE/USAID stories, but as Pravda Media scrambles to cover it all up and the Democrats scream "constitutional crisis," it's important that somebody sifts through as many revelations as possible. And the revelations are mind-blowing.
We keep on being told about AIDS drugs, rice and beans for starving children, and preserving democracy, but when you look at where the money is going it is almost exclusively to regime change, censorship organizations, leftist activists, and Deep State operatives and propaganda outfits.
It turns out that the US government funds just about every media outfit in the world to preserve "independent media." For God's sake, we fund the BBC, and Internews is a scandal that will take months or years to unravel. This globe-spanning funder of "independent media" produces radio and TV packages for media organizations around the world is supposedly run from this abandoned office in a tiny California town.
This is the first major fraud I think has been uncovered from scrutiny of USAID.

- USAID has funneled $472.6 million through Internews Network (IN).
- IN has worked with 4,291 media outlets, producing 4,799 hours of broadcasts.
- Reached up to 778 million people.
- Trained… pic.twitter.com/Y3sqBFj85L
The Deep State funding part of the equation is, if not quite as spectacular, a perfect example of how the US government is basically a money laundering organization with a military and a welfare state attached.

Atlantic Council and Aspen Institute received $50 MILLION from federal agencies since 2021 for grants and contracts.
Between them, they have 50 donors who have given at least $1 million each. https://t.co/Y03OfkRAO7
For those of you who don't know, the Atlantic Council and Aspen Institute are the swampiest of the swamp NGOs, along with the Brookings Institute, which also receives USAID funds.
The Brookings Institution has forcefully attacked @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk for shutting down USAID.

They conveniently never disclose in all of their hit pieces that they've received USAID grants for "humanitarian assistance" and "protecting human rights." pic.twitter.com/Aw0aCQ3noe
These are "think tanks" that are part of the government to NGO to government revolving door, and which provide nice sinecures for the Deep State operatives as they take breathers from ruining the world.
Far from distributing rice and beans to needy children, they distribute champaign and caviar to greedy bureaucrats. They are the sort of place you would expect to see a Samantha Power bloviate about saving the world, getting applause from all the people who have been, are, or will be on her payroll in some capacity.
US taxpayers showering tens of millions on these poor, poor think tanks is just one great thing your USAID dollars go to. After all, once you have done your regime change of the day, plunging countries into violent revolutions to replace a democratically elected leader with the candidate of your choice, you need some place to sit back and sip your small barrel bourbon.

Lest you think that the regime change effort is only in foreign countries, once you dig into the details of where all the money goes you see that it doesn't stop at our nation's shores.
Republicans have criticized both think tanks over their central roles in what’s been dubbed the "censorship-industrial complex," a network of university and think tank researchers that worked closely with federal agencies to censor content on social media.
In September 2020, the Aspen Institute organized a "tabletop" exercise with journalists from the New York Times, Washington Post, and executives from Facebook and Twitter to draft a plan for how to respond to a hypothetical scenario in which Russia leaked documents stolen from Hunter Biden, according to documents uncovered by reporter Michael Shellenberger. Many of the participants—most notably Twitter—censored an accurate New York Post story about Biden’s laptop in Oct. 2020.
The Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab is led by Graham Brookie, who served on the National Security Council in the Obama administration. In October 2020, Brookie claimed Trump’s "entire strategy" in the campaign that year was "based on process disinformation in this election." Days later, Brookie dismissed reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop as "unverified misinfo." He cheered Twitter’s ban of Trump’s account and "influencers of the far right" after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots as a "welcome" decision.
The State Department awarded the DFRLab a $64,000 grant in September to host two workshops at the U.S. embassy in Vienna on "countering foreign information manipulation and interference," and $250,000 the same month for a project to counter disinformation in Moldova, according to spending records.
However corrupt you think our government is, the reality is turning out to be much worse.
Democrats are now rumbling about how unpatriotic we are for questioning government spending and how we are conducting a "coup." As usual, this is projection.
Government has been weaponized against us, and it turns out that Donald Trump may be our last chance to take it back.
UPDATE: Hakeem Jeffries is now Nelson Mandela because of an audit.
The great Nelson Mandela was freed from a South African prison 35 years ago today.
