But He Has an 'F' on His Passport!

The International Olympic Committee insists that two male boxers are female because of paperwork.

We have reached peak stupidity, or perhaps peak malice in the gender wars. I think it is probably malice and sadism.

Lin Yu-Ting and Imane Khelif both have XY chromosomes and yet are competing against each other for Gold in women's boxing at the Olympics, and the IOC and much of the mainstream media are outraged that not everybody thinks that natal males are beating the crap out of women for the entertainment of sadists.

First, let's be clear: these boxers are not transgender in the traditional sense. They both suffer from DSDs, or Disorders of Sexual Develoment. They have lived their lives as females since birth we are told and their passports classify them as female. Their genitals apparently do not present as male because, it seems, their testes developed internally.

But they went through male puberty and have XY chromosomes. Their genitals apparently look female (none of us has examined them, thank God!), but a cheek swab and two genetic tests show them as male. That is why they were disqualified by the International Boxing Association.

The IOC disagrees and quit working with the organization because, well, using genetic development and markers is wrong. The "F" on the passport is enough to qualify them both as female.

Passports. Not their advantages of going through male puberty and their ability to absolutely wreck their genuinely female opponents.

Paperwork--which can be changed in many countries with a simple form--trumps genetic testing for the IOC. Men can change their sex with paperwork and be allowed into the boxing ring to beat up women based on changing a letter on a form.

Many people are arguing that because these men suffer from DSDs they should be counted as women out of "fairness." After all, they wouldn't qualify to be Olympic athletes if they entered the male category.

I don't buy that argument for a number of reasons, beginning with the obvious: 99.999999999% of humanity don't qualify to participate in the Olympics, and unless you think everybody should be invited in that is a ridiculous argument. I am short, pudgy, too old, and too untalented to get into the Olympics.

Is that unfair? No. There are vast numbers of reasons to reject people, and one of them should be having an unfair advantage over the competitors due to DSDs. At the end of the day, the IOC is arguing that paperwork, not genetics, should be the deciding factor.

That is absurd.

Once again, a bunch of elites are rewriting the rules and the meaning of words to get the outcome that they want, and they are not even consistent when doing so. We are told all the time that the appearance of genitals has nothing to do with gender, except, of course, in this case, where the fact that these men have atypical-looking genitals suddenly makes them women.

I won't even bother arguing that the alphabet ideologists are being inconsistent because, well, what is the point? Words have no inherent meaning to them and are merely convenient tools that are infinitely malleable.

Genes are concrete facts, while to the Critical theorists, they mean anything they want them to mean.

So the IOC threw the concrete data into the trash and went to paperwork as evidence.

Paperwork.

Do I feel a bit sorry for these men? I would for having to deal with the DSDs, But since they are using their DSDs to cheat, I believe they are sadists and cheaters.

As are the IOC.
