I went with that headline to get the alliteration. I have no idea whether she was dumped or left on her own, although given how DEI has hurt Disney she should have been dumped years ago.

One reason to think that Lotondra Newton was dumped, though, is that Disney has been shedding high-level officers of late. Just last week the CFO left the company after 23 years there. That’s quite a coincidence, especially given the fact that the company has had a lot of trouble lately, and I am not referring only to the political spat with Governor Ron DeSantis.

Disney’s Star Wars-themed “Galactic Starcruiser” hotel was a huge flop, costing the company hundreds of millions of dollars. Disney has produced a number of box office flops, including the live-action “Little Mermaid” and the new Pixar movie “Elemental,” both primarily known for their woke cred and not their creative genius. The CEO was recently replaced with a returning Bob Iger in the wake of the “Don’t Say Gay” controversy, and the company is trying to shed $5 billion in expenses in order to return to a more solid financial footing.

In other words, Disney is in full meltdown mode, and DEI is one of but not the only reason why. Kathleen Kennedy has been hollowing out Lucasfilm by destroying the Star Wars universe, which is partly caused by its woke portrayal of the horrendously boring Rey character in the latest Star Wars movies, and partly caused by a complete lack of interesting writing and stories.

He is immeasurably creepy just for wanting this job position in the first place.

DEI is certainly at the heart of most of Disney’s problems. When you have transgender princesses and a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” it’s no wonder that parents are bailing on the company in droves. What parent wants a mega-corporation propagandizing their children with whatever ideological fad happens to come along and capture the DEI crowd?

Disney used to draw its inspiration from old fairy tales and catered to children’s imaginations. Now it is equal parts propaganda and cash grab. There is not much to admire in anything they do.

I have never been a Disney fanatic, but I know plenty of people who are. Luckily for them, they bought the physical media instead of just streaming rights so that the woke fanatics in Hollywood can’t secretly rewrite the scripts to “update them for modern audiences” as happens so frequently these days.

It’s dispiriting. Our entire cultural inheritance is being stripped from us by these woke corporations.

Do I expect Disney to reform itself as it hires a new “Chief Diversity Officer?”

No, no I don’t. As long as they have such a destructive position in the corporate hierarchy they will continue to push an agenda to corrupt children and subvert the traditional family.

It’s sad.
