CDC Director knew COVID vax did not prevent infection

Rochelle Walensky famously claimed many times that the COVID vaccine prevented infection and transmission of the virus.

Even after it became glaringly obvious that this was false, she kept on insisting that the cause of its failure to do so was the development of “variants,” and that the vaccine did work for the original virus. She just repeated this claim to Congress in testimony before a committee investigating the government’s response to the pandemic.

This, it turns out, is a lie, and she knew it. Way back at the beginning of the vaccine rollout, she was quite concerned about the fact that the vaccine did not appear to be working as intended.

This revelation comes via a FOIA request that, you can see, was redacted. Given that the email was in no way classified, the excuse for removing 90% of the content is a mystery.

Perhaps the content was embarrassing? Who can say? Perhaps she included war plans against Iran or secret intelligence that Russia was planning an invasion of Ukraine.

Nah. It is embarrassing information. You know it and I know it. They blotted out the meat of the email because it would prove conclusively that Walensky et al were knowingly lying to the American public.

The claims that the vaccine would stop the virus “in its tracks” were always based upon thin air, and would be inconsistent with vaccines for respiratory viruses in general.

First of all, at the time of introduction, the vaccine hadn’t even been tested for stopping transmission, and the testing for infection was extraordinarily rushed. These vaccines didn’t go through the normal development process and there was no time to test them in a manner that would justify Walensky’s claims.

Even the manufacturers didn’t make the kind of claims that Walensky made, and I suspect the scientists who developed the vax winced every time some government official made them. The trials they conducted were small and rushed, there were breakthrough cases in those trials which the companies disclosed, and the claims of efficacy were based upon an observed reduced risk.

Nobody involved actually believed that the vaccine was 100% effective. How could they? The claim is implausible on its face, especially with a respiratory virus. After he retired Dr. Fauci himself wrote a paper explaining why vaccines don’t tend to work against most respiratory viruses, and why the current type of vaccine never will.

In stark contrast, the non-systemic respiratory viruses such as influenza viruses, SARS-CoV-2, and RSV tend to have significantly shorter incubation periods (Table 1) and rapid courses of viral replication. They replicate predominantly in local mucosal tissue, without causing viremia, and do not significantly encounter the systemic immune system or the full force of adaptive immune responses, which take at least 5–7 days to mature, usually well after the peak of viral replication and onward transmission to others. SARS-CoV-2 “RNAemia” (circulation of viral RNA in the bloodstream, as is seen with most mucosal respiratory virus infections, as distinct from viremia, in which infectious viruses can be cultured from the blood), has been reported, and RT-PCR levels of viral RNA have been linked to severe disease,23,24 similar to studies of influenza RNAemia.25,26 As a result, the non-systemically replicating respiratory viruses, apparently including SARS-CoV-2,13,14,15 tend to repeatedly re-infect people over their lifetimes without ever eliciting complete and durable protection.27

Intramuscular injections can’t really work well against respiratory viruses for the purpose of preventing infection and transmission, because the viruses don’t infect and replicate in places and in a manner that a normal immune response can prevent. The viral infection and replication take place before the regular immune system has a chance to attack the virus.

Once the virus gets into the rest of the body the vaccine has the opportunity to work–and much of the damage is done after the initial infection and transmission takes place, so the vaccines can do some good in mitigating the effects of the virus for the person. But there was never any prospect that the vaccine would stop infection and transmission. Fauci knew this, as did Walensky.

As of 2022, after more than 60 years of experience with influenza vaccines, very little improvement in vaccine prevention of infection has been noted. As pointed out decades ago, and still true today, the rates of effectiveness of our best approved influenza vaccines would be inadequate for licensure for most other vaccine-preventable diseases.7 Even decades-long efforts to develop better, so-called “universal” influenza vaccines—vaccines that would create more broadly protective immunity, preferably lasting over longer time periods8,10—have not yet resulted in next-generation, broadly protective vaccines, although a large number of experimental vaccines are in preclinical or early clinical development.11
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the rapid development and deployment of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines has saved innumerable lives and helped to achieve early partial pandemic control.12 However, as variant SARS-CoV-2 strains have emerged, deficiencies in these vaccines reminiscent of influenza vaccines have become apparent. The vaccines for these two very different viruses have common characteristics: they elicit incomplete and short-lived protection against evolving virus variants that escape population immunity

Over the next few years, lots of new information will come out showing that most of what we were told during COVID was a lie. The doctors wanted us to take the vaccine, and they said what they had to in order to force compliance. Undoubtedly they thought the lies were “noble lies,” but they were lies.

Attempting to control mucosal respiratory viruses with systemically administered non-replicating vaccines has thus far been largely unsuccessful, indicating that new approaches are needed.

That, my friends, is Fauci in 2023. They all knew. And they lied.
