The all-out war on DeSantis is as deeply deceptive as it is relentless.
The narrative being pushed is pretty simple: Ron DeSantis is a fascist. Earlier today I wrote about Ken Burns’ idiotic attacks on the governor, comparing him to the Soviets and the Nazis while exposing his own utter ignorance of the Soviets and the Nazis.
Burns, though, is simply parroting the Leftist lies. As is necessary to remain in the graces of the truly good people of the world.
Exhibit #1 has been the Left’s claim that the governor is engaged in the censorship of history and suppression of all discussions about sexual matters in the schools. Both of these claims are ridiculous, and as I argued in my earlier column, Ron DeSantis is smart enough to fight back by providing the receipts DeSantis is more than capable of fighting back.
This time DeSantis drops a truth bomb on the media and his critics (but I repeat myself) by providing a video that shows a tiny part of the content in the books that are being pulled from the public schools–that were being provided to kids not even in High School. The images are very disturbing.
So disturbing, in fact, that Twitter has been labeling them “sensitive content” and the news channels chose to break away from the video rather than show them.
Which, you know, makes the governor’s point.
Holy crap, DeSantis is showing some of the stuff removed from school libraries, and news organizations had to cut their feeds because it's sexually graphic.
What a way to make the point.

We’ve seen this sort of behavior in the past, with School Boards shutting down parents who were reading from library books because “children are watching” and it might be illegal to air the content. Uh, yeah…

Most people simultaneously recoil from book banning and from adults handing out sexually explicit material to children. Both impulses are good, and the problem with the attacks on DeSantis is that they make a false claim: that the governor is banning books. He isn’t.
99.999% of all books available are not found in school libraries, so of necessity, they are curated. The question isn’t whether to curate the books, but how. Choosing not to distribute books to 10-year-olds is hardly banning books; it is common sense.
Clearly, the current curation methods used by teachers and librarians are all about shoving sexually explicit and ideologically charged content at children, and that is wrong. You can find the images at these links if you want to view them:
Liars like Randi Weingarten of the American Federation of Teachers will claim that DeSantis just wants to remove books with “black characters” or that teach about African American history, which are ridiculous claims that are unfortunately amplified and further distorted by the media.
But the truth is that DeSantis is fighting evil people who are recruiting children into something resembling a sex cult.
How else do you explain the obsession not just with sex, but “kinky” sexual practices that usually include bondage, transgenderism and interaction with adults over sex apps and the internet?
Adults such as this guy, who directly recruits kids to contact him privately, join his Patreon, and separate themselves from their parents. Watch as much of this video as you can. There are hundreds of similar videos from him.
Jeffrey here is no outlier. He is praised by the same people who are attacking DeSantis as a fascist and is followed by hundreds of thousands of children who are being recruited into something deeply sick.
A child groomer–and if you have any doubt, you can visit his TikTok to see for yourself how deeply sick, twisted, and clearly pedophilic this guy is–is a hero to the Establishment, while DeSantis is a villain for protecting children from his ilk.
The media sides with Marsh, not DeSantis. Tell me this is a good thing.
You may notice that very few news reports actually show you what is objectionable about these books because they don’t want you to know. They want you to believe that To Kill a Mockingbird is being banned, and that Martin Luther King Jr. has been ripped out of the Florida curriculum.
Not that scat play is fun, which is what is really being tossed out of Florida schools. Scat play. Taught in the schools. You decide who is in the right.

Twitter doesn’t even want to show you the content of the books that are being handed to kids because the content is “sensitive.” If it is too sensitive to display publicly on Twitter, perhaps we shouldn’t be giving it to 10-year-olds in a school library.
Apparently, that is fascism or building Potemkin villages like the Nazis are famous for, according to Ken Burns.
Each of us is being forced to take a side in this fight–a fight that we didn’t start, but have to win.
Update (Ed): We have removed a few explicit images from this post, but we do have links for those who wish to see them.
Update (David): This proves the point that the images are too graphic for an adult-oriented news site. Clearly, they are too graphic for children.
Gov. DeSantis' press conference on the Book Ban Hoax was being live-streamed on social media and carried live by local news. The stream was CUT because the books (found in schools!) were too explicit. Sensitive Content warning on Twitter.
But liberals insist it's good for kids? pic.twitter.com/Sk1pnzlYEc
