Videos: Minnesota Republicans get air time on Monday Night Football

Those of us in the Twin Cities that watch Monday Night Football will get a reminder that Republicans are fighting for the opportunity to represent Minneapolis and St. Paul in Congress. Republicans have bought local air time on MNF to get the message out to voters in MN-05 and MN-04 and get some attention on two terrific candidates. Joel Demos will run his best existing ad, “For the Kids,” which features Joel’s family in one of the best campaign spots of the year, as I previously noted:

In MN-04, the local Republicans have purchased air time to spotlight the voting record of incumbent Democrat Betty McCollum, who has a nearly 100% match to Nancy Pelosi’s voting record. The CD-4 Republicans want their neighbors to give my friend Teresa Collett a chance:

These are smart ad buys. Minnesota will be playing the Jets on Monday night, and it will be the first game with Randy Moss back in purple.  Vikings fans in both districts will crowd around TV sets at home and in pubs throughout the area.  It will give the most bang for the buck, and hopefully will have people reconsidering support for McCollum and MN-05’s Keith Ellison.
