For almost exactly a year, the one thing the execrable Sir Keir Starmer and his cabinet of Labour dhimmis have actually been working at has been the swift and sure destruction of the British people as a cultural entity.
There has been an unrelenting assault on everything that has defined the heart and soul of the British Isles for centuries, from uninhibited opinions spoken in speakers' corners and spicy debate, to the very symbols of that kingdom, their instantly recognizable standards - the St George's flag and the Union Jack.
The national symbols are loathed and vilified by the elitist members of the Labour government, actively removed from public displays, and those who would dare wave them in public are harassed and, more often than not, wind up cited by law enforcement for hate crime or violence incitement.
Opposing opinions are no longer embraced and then challenged through vigorous debate. They are hunted down to their source, however innocuous the offering to begin with, and treated as if they were a menace to public safety on the level of lighting fires in the middle of the road or poisoning the town's water.
Rapists and murderers can spend less time, if any, in prison than those who offend the Labour regime verbally or in online postings.
The censorship and oppression of the once free and great British public is a real thing, and the wedges the Labour government is driving between native British and their recently imported neighbors are cleaving an even larger divide 'twixt the 'two tiers' Labour insists do not exist, and making the government's sinister purposes clearer.
ISLAM
It is the word and the culture that drives everything Labour does.
For almost exactly a year now, Starmer and his crew have been wrestling with a legally protective carveout for Islam that is a total betrayal of every principle the once-great British tradition of freedom ever stood for.
Labour is desperate to make Islam the special religion of England and Mohammed's followers a special class of citizens.
A smidge over a year ago, when the grooming gang scandal first resurfaced and blew up again, four of the councils in the hardest hit cities, in an attempt to mollify a certain ethnic swath of residents angry about fact-based terminology, decided to declare 'Asian grooming gangs' a racist term, even though that's precisely what they were.
In the ensuing brouhaha, Starmer and his ministers hatched a terrific little plan - they would redefine 'Islamophobia' to help out the insulted Muslims.
...Keir Starmer's party has consequently embraced the report from the four councils declaring the term 'Asian grooming gangs' to be 'Islamophobic' and is planning on refining it for application at a national level. Gracious - won't that make things easier for them to control? Win-win.
...The Labour Party formally adopted the report, which was written by the all-party parliamentary group (APPG) for British Muslims, co-chaired by health secretary Wes Streeting.
Now, the Government is considering a formal definition of anti-Muslim hate to be used nationally, which critics have hit out at, calling it a “blasphemy law”.
The battle over that redefinition in favor of a single religion has been going on for this entire year, even as the Labour government tightens the screws on everyday Brits who try to protest this stripping of their rights.
Meanwhile, Starmer was busy virtue-signaling to the only group in England that matters.

You see, dear reader, the British peasants aren't quite the stupid clods that the Labour snots think they are. Back in October, when the 'revamped' Islamophobia definition recommendation report was turned into the Secretary of Communities' office, the group had changed 'Islamophobia' to 'anti-Muslim hostility.'
See? Oh. That changes everything, right? It's not 'hate Islam' - it's people who 'hate Muslims.'
...Steve Reed, the Communities Secretary, is finalising the new definition based on a draft from an advisory group, headed by Dominic Grieve, the former Tory attorney general, which was submitted to the Government in October.
The non-statutory definition is aimed at providing guidance for behaviour codes that public bodies, councils and businesses could adopt to combat prejudice, discrimination and hostility towards Muslims.
The group’s definition has avoided the word “Islamophobia” and instead called it “anti-Muslim hostility” so that it focuses on hate towards Muslims rather than Islam. It follows concerns over its potential impact on free speech and fears of a back-door blasphemy law.
Gosh darn - it doesn't look like it fooled anyone. And those damned pesky peasants still want to say what they want to say.

His government is hell-bent for leather to get the Islamophobia 'definition' passed, even as more and more rational and truly alarmed voices join the chorus of 'Why is this necessary?' when there are already myriad laws on the books.
Sir Keir Starmer’s plans for a new definition of Islamophobia risks breaking the law by illegally discriminating against other faith groups, counter-extremism experts have warned.
The proposals could also backfire by inflaming tensions among other minority faith groups who might perceive it as favouring Muslims, says the analysis by the respected Counter Extremism Group (CEG), a research centre.
The report, by Dr Daniel Allington of King’s College, which was backed by a panel of experts including legislators and police, comes ahead of the publication of Labour’s official definition of anti-Muslim hostility.
And what a joke - COULD be perceived as 'favoring Muslims'?
It absolutely is. There's no perceptive power needed to see what's as plain as day. The British government will be in the Islam protection business.
...It added that existing laws also safeguarded free speech because, while protecting the right to practise and promote a religion, they also underpinned the right to criticise religions and their associated practices.
“Attempts to ‘go beyond the law’ in protecting the sensibilities of any one faith group could potentially constitute unlawful discrimination towards members of other faith groups, and for this reason should be guarded against,” it concluded.
In effect, this law will make the government the Muslim enforcement arm against anyone who dares to say boo about anything to do with Muslim anything in the UK.
Muslims and Islam will be the only religious bloc in the UK to have a government-provided immunity shield.
