Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) is engaged to his girlfriend, Mindy Noce.

The day after he endorsed Donald Trump for the Republican nominee, he got on one knee and proposed to Mindy in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. He confirmed his engagement on Trey Gowdy’s show on FNC, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy. Gowdy’s show is also where Scott announced he was suspending his Republican primary campaign last November. Gowdy and Scott, both South Carolinians, are friends.

Tim Scott is 58-years-old. He’s never been married and he has no children. He said his engagement was the second best decision he’s ever made. It’s second to his decision to become a Christian.

She said YES.

“Going to the beach and getting on one knee, and asking Mindy to marry me was so much more important than anything else, and I wanted to make sure that that sacred day would not be disturbed by anything political,” Scott told Gowdy, speaking on his discussions with former President Donald Trump for an endorsement.

It’s reported that they met about a year ago and bonded over Bible study.

The Senator slowly brought Mindy into the spotlight with him. In May 2023, he confirmed he was in a relationship. Prior to that, talking about a girlfriend was not something that was the topic of news stories about Tim Scott. In November 2023, he publicly announced Mindy Noce, an interior designer from Charleston, as his girlfriend. They appeared together at the third 2024 Republican primary debate. He announced their engagement on January 21, 2024.

It’s a refreshingly wholesome story, right? Maybe because he is older and a private person, it all worked out well for him. One reason he may have been going slow was so his girlfriend could get used to his life as a senator. He knew once his relationship became public, he would be taking shots from the left. They have been doing just that.

The hideous women on The View jumped ugly on Scott and claimed that his engagement was part of working to be named Trump’s running mate. Co-hosts Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin were doing their normal thing.

Navarro posted to Instagram and said Scott was “working hard for that VP spot,” and suggested his engagement was part of his work.

“Pretty amazing to see Tim Scott WHO WAS APPOINTED TO THE US SENATE -the BIGGEST gift a Governor can bestow- by then-Governor Nikki Haley, standing behind Trump grinning like a Cheshire cat as Trump trashes her. Damn, he working hard for that VP spot. Man even got engaged!” Navarro wrote on social media.

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin also took a shot at Scott during the show on Wednesday, suggesting his engagement was a sign he wanted to be VP.

Hostin said he looked uncomfortable behind Trump, and said, “you know he’s running for vice president.”

“He endorses Trump on a Friday and then gets engaged on a Saturday, and announces his engagement on a Sunday, because it’s like, ‘pick me I’m getting married this year,’ and no other vice president has been unmarried and has been successful,” Hostin said. “It just screams ‘I want to be your vice president! I love you!'”

He set CBS’s Gayle King straight when she questioned the timing of his engagement.

“CBS Mornings” host Gayle King pressed Scott on whether he was hoping for the VP position on Wednesday, and asked about people who thought the timing was “suspicious.”

“I would say, anyone who says it’s suspicious timing, it’s a lie from the pit of hell, you know how that goes in church,” Scott said. “You meet the person where you spend the most time, I was fortunate enough to meet her at church.”

He said they both enjoy doing the same things and have a lot in common.

Scott was on Hannity Thursday night and Hannity, who acknowledged his friendship with the senator, asked about the attacks from liberals.

“I’m sure you’re sick and tired of it because I certainly am,” Hannity continued, playing clips from “Morning Joe,” CNN, “The View” cohost Ana Navarro and others. “Some of these comments are repulsive.”

Scott responded by saying, “Absolutely, they are vile and disgusting comments coming from the far Left,” before accusing most racists being politically left-leaning.

“The bigotry that comes from the far radical Left is just normal these days,” Scott added. “Why? Because they’re trying not just to attack me, but they’re trying to make sure that any other minority who will think for themselves and will consider the GOP, they want to send a message to every single one of them: Step out of line, and we’ll attack you, too.”

Scott continued, saying that what he considers intimidation “doesn’t work with me, and to every single African American, Hispanic, millennial — anybody in the majority population or minority population, if you believe in conservatism, stand up and be counted.”

“The radical Left, they’re so afraid of people like me, people like you, Sean, thinking for ourselves, speaking out and speaking the truth, that they will do anything they possibly can to silence the truth,” Scott said. “But it’s not going to work with me, it’s not going to work with others.”

He’s had a lot of experience with liberals trashing him as a conservative black man. He is reported to be on Trump’s short list as a running mate. He found the right woman and proposed at this time in his life. Both things can be true at the same time. Let the ugly leftists snarl. He’s got this. Who doesn’t like a happy ending?
