Can you say distraction? Joe Biden just so happened to release acknowledgment of his granddaughter Navy Joan this week. I don’t believe in coincidences. You shouldn’t either, especially during a presidential election cycle. Grandpa is running for re-election, you know. What a Friday late afternoon news dump.

Navy Joan’s daddy had a very bad week in court. The judge discovered some monkey business put into the sweetheart plea agreement and she isn’t playing. Hunter Biden is Navy’s daddy, as proved by a DNA test. Navy’s mother is a former, um, dancer, in Washington, D.C. that Hunter hooked up with in his drug-addled days. Ever since Navy Joan was born – she is four years old now – Grandpa and Grandma Biden have chosen to ignore her existence. No Christmas stocking on the mantel in the White House at Christmastime for Navy, even though there were stockings for the dog and cat.

Joe Biden has been dragged into the Biden Crime Family business big time this week with all the information about the sketchy business deals going on, even though we have no idea exactly what business the Biden family is in – other than selling access to The Big Guy. Millions of dollars have been paid to Hunter and Joe Biden – allegedly – and the feces is hitting the ventilation system. The “I” word is being mentioned.

What better time than now for Joe and Jill to high-tail it to People Magazine and do a touchy-feely piece? Grandpa Joe acknowledged Navy Joan and said that they are respecting her privacy.

“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward,” President Biden said in a statement provided exclusively to PEOPLE.

“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” President Biden’s statement continues. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”

It is pretty much impossible for Joe and Jill to ignore Navy now that Hunter has been in the news for going to court in Arkansas, where Lunden and Navy live, to reduce the amount of child support he pays. Hunter poor-mouthed to the judge that he can no longer afford the amount he has been paying Lunden for support of Navy and he did so via a private jet. Nothing screams that he can’t afford child support like traveling in a friend’s plane, right? Hunter sure does live large for a broke guy. He still has the rented beach estate in Malibu and he spends a lot of time at the White House when he isn’t traveling with his dad. The judge made Hunter cough up all his financial documents and didn’t seem particularly sympathetic to him.

Lunden wanted Navy to be allowed to use the Biden family name. That request was denied. Hunter did get the amount of child support reduced, though. And, he gave Navy some of his artwork, which she is free to sell when she is older.

Hunter has four other children. He has three grown daughters with his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, Naomi, 29, Finnegan, 22, and Maisy, 22. He has a son, Beau Jr., 3, with his current wife. He’s just a year younger than Navy. Jill frequently brings along one or two of Hunter’s grown daughters when she travels overseas.

Joe Biden likes to brag about his close relationship with his grandchildren, which made it all the more awkward that he chose to ignore Navy Jean since her birth. Biden says he calls them all every day and they adore him. It’s mutual, he adores them. The Bidens hosted granddaughter Naomi’s wedding at the White House. Naomi lived in the White House before the wedding.

The press was starting to notice Biden’s neglect of his seventh grandchild. Even Maureen Dowd’s sister, a Biden voter, took Joe to task. You have seven grandchildren, Joe, not six.

So, on Friday, Joe acknowledged his granddaughter that lives in Arkansas. The Biden Crime Family is on the ropes. Something had to be done to distract everyone on a Friday evening. Joe’s numbers are in the tank. No one wants him to run for re-election. If he isn’t in the White House, though, he could be subject to some pesky court proceedings to answer to some of the info uncovered in Congressional investigations. Democrats have to keep him cocooned in the White House.

I wonder if Joe is going to put Navy Joan on the phone call list he uses each night to keep in touch with his other grandchildren.
