What’s a former president to do after an arraignment in a federal courthouse in Miami? If the former president is Donald Trump, and it was on Tuesday, he has his very big motorcade stop at an iconic Cuban restaurant on the way to the airport and he charms the customers inside. He had his Melania look-alike deputy communications director along with him who translated Spanish for him. A Jewish man prayed for him. Then, as he prepared to leave, he yelled “Food for everyone!” This is something he has been doing since announcing his campaign for president – he stops at restaurants or fast food places and then picks up the tab for everyone’s meal.
CNN’s Jake Tapper said, “I don’t need to see anymore” to the control room that was playing the video of Trump’s stop. Liberal show hosts on cable news networks were in a snit that Trump was creating some camera time for himself since the proceeding in the courthouse was not televised. No cameras were allowed inside the courtroom. Sorry, guys, your man Biden is a bore and buffoon on camera. Trump knows how to create press coverage for himself. This shouldn’t be a surprise to them after 2015. Cable news networks that are not FOX are overjoyed to have non-stop coverage of Trump. Their ratings are dead in the water without him.
Jake Tapper’s reaction on CNN to people showing support for Donald Trump: “The folks in the control room, I don’t need to see anymore of that.”

CNN’S JAKE TAPPER ON TRUMP: “We're not carrying his remarks live because frankly he says a lot of things that are not true and sometimes potentially dangerous.”

Trump boarded Air Trump and flew back to New Jersey and held a rally with supporters at his country club before holding a fundraiser. Sleepy Joe was holding a Juneteenth event with his daughter, Ashley, who was trying to convince the audience that her daddy worked harder for the American people than anyone else in history. Her father kissed her on the mouth. No, not creepy at all after the stories of her diary entries describing showering with her father. Not creepy at all.
Jill is out fundraising for Joe’s campaign. She got the hell out of Dodge after the big LGBTQ event turned into crude displays of nudity by some transgender guests.
Trump came out swinging in his rally speech, as could be predicted.
Donald Trump called his indictment for mishandling government secrets a “heinous abuse of power” as he addressed supporters and donors at his New Jersey golf club.
“Today we witnessed the most evil and heinous abuse of power in the history of our country. Very sad thing to watch,” Mr Trump said after returning from his court hearing in Miami.
In a maundering speech, Mr Trump tried to keep a lid on his anger and claimed the investigation was politically motivated.
Mr Trump called the case against him “one of the most outrageous and vicious legal theories ever put forward in an American court of law”.
He promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Biden and the Biden family when he returns to Washington as president.
Addressing his indictment, Mr Trump said: “A corrupt sitting president had his top political opponent arrested on fake and fabricated charges – of which he and numerous other presidents would be guilty – right in the middle of a presidential election, in which he’s losing very badly.”
He added: “The seal is broken by what they’ve done. They should never have done this.”
Surely the Biden family must know that Trump will retaliate for how he has been treated. Democrats are so short-sighted. Look at the special counsel, Jack Smith. He specifically said he will pursue a speedy trial for Trump. That is because he knows he has a tight timeframe to try Trump and go for a conviction before November 2024. He wants Trump in jail, not on the campaign trail or sitting in the Oval Office again.
It is estimated that Trump will raise $2M after the New Jersey rally. We know the campaign contributions poured in after the indictment in New York. As expected, Trump’s poll numbers are edging up, not down. A majority of Republicans think the indictment was a political move by Biden.
Biden and the Democrats should be careful what they wish for here. They are dreaming of Trump wearing an orange jumpsuit and are turning in some bad performances while mouthing words that it’s a sad day in America and this is not what anyone wants to see, a former president indicted on criminal charges. Malarkey. They’ve worked toward this since 2016. They are fooling no one. Their guy, Joe Biden is now heard on tape in a pretty shady-sounding story about a $5M bribe. The tables may turn pretty fast.
