More on the recent surge of anti-Semitism around the country (Update)

I wrote about this last night and Allahpundit wrote a follow-up today. But there are even more incidents mentioned in this Fox News roundup. For instance, Gabby Giffords’ synagogue in Tucson was vandalized.

She’s apparently referring to this incident.

Over the weekend a synagogue in Salt Lake City was tagged with a swastika:

That incident is being investigated as a hate crime. And in Chicago a man broke a window of a synagogue and then posted a pro-Palestinian sign on the door. The whole thing was captured on video which you can see in this local news report.

Here’s a closeup of the guy with the sign.

Apparently there had been a pro-Palestinian protest across the street from this synagogue where people were chanting “From the river to the sea…”

And finally, there was an incident Tuesday involving a Jewish family on vacation in Florida. As they left a local synagogue they were harassed by a group of men in an SUV who shouted, among other things, that they would rape his 16-year-old daughter.

Four men who appeared to be in their 20s shouted and threw garbage at them from a white sports utility vehicle. Their rant focused on the Israel-Hamas conflict: “Free Palestine!” “[Expletive] the Jews!” “Die Jew!”

“They yelled they were going to rape my wife and rape my daughter,” Orgen said.

A driver who witnessed the attack decided to defend them. He was armed with a gun and when the men drove away he chased them, Orgen said.

Here’s a local news report which includes an interview with the father.

There has been some national reporting about the incident in Los Angeles and I’m guessing the brawls in New York will make news as well. But it would be nice if the national media (besides Fox News) would make some effort to connect the dots. These incidents are happening around the country and often involve very similar groups of pro-Palestinian protesters who seem eager to start fights with any Jewish person they see in the street. But as of right now, I don’t see a single story about it on CNN’s homepage.

Update: Some people don’t have much to say about this.
