IRS yanks team investigating Hunter Biden

The IRS whistleblower who came forward with information regarding Hunter Biden’s suspicious financial transactions (to put it very mildly) appears to have stirred up a hornet’s nest. The whistleblower’s attorneys sent a letter to Congress, informing them that their client and his entire team were being removed from the Hunter Biden investigation. They referred to the removal as being “clearly retaliatory.” In an even stranger twist to the tale, the order to pull the team off of the case reportedly came from the Justice Department. If you’re catching a whiff of a coverup and some political interference here, you’re not alone. (Washington Examiner)

The IRS has removed the entire investigative team in the ongoing Hunter Biden tax evasion investigation.

“Today the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent was informed that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress,” attorneys Tristan Leavitt and Mark Lytle of Empower Oversight and Nixon Peabody LLP, respectively, wrote in a letter to Congress obtained by the Washington Examiner.

One of the most glaring parts of this story is the claim that the order to remove the team came from the DoJ. The IRS falls under the Department of the Treasury. Why is the Justice Department issuing them orders? That makes no sense unless we’re observing yet another incident of Merrick Garland and his buddies attempting to derail the ongoing investigation into Biden Inc.

The whistleblower’s attorneys pointed out that it is a crime to obstruct an investigation of Congress. Of course, that’s only a problem if you can find someone willing to prosecute the crime. And that person would have to come from… the Department of Justice.

As John Solomon of Just the News points out, this whistleblower has already received a grant of protection from Congress. This alleged action clearly appears to be an act of retaliation, which would be a federal crime.

“This most recent communication concerning allegations of retaliatory actions against a whistleblower, appears to contradict the sworn testimony by Commissioner Werfel who pledged that whistleblower protections would be upheld,” House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith told Just the News on Tuesday morning.

IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel appeared before the Ways and Means Committee and testified, claiming that he could say “without hesitation” that there would be “no retaliation for anyone making an allegation.” But he was only speaking for the Internal Revenue Service. This interference appears to have come from the Justice Department.

This is all so blatant that it feels like they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. When progress is being made on any aspect of the various investigations into Biden Inc, the President’s minions will move in to block or disrupt the process. And it’s all being done right out in the open. They’re almost daring the country to try to stop them. We should take them up on that dare.
