Joe Biden’s Problem Is in the Pews

To locate Joe Biden’s electoral problem, you need only to look on Sunday morning. Polling shows the mass-attending Catholic president trails Donald Trump by 10 points among those who attend religious services a few times a year or more. The score is reversed with voters who report they seldom or never attend church, with Biden leading by 10.

It’s the starkest divide in the electorate – and one that political journalists rarely mention, perhaps because, as a profession, journalists are more removed from religion than the average American.

This is yet another indicator of just how estranged the media has become from their readership. It's not that they're attempting to cover this up as much as it is the lack of understanding of the church-going populations of the US. Instead, they just take Biden's embrace of his Catholic identity at face value and assume this data is mistaken, rather than understand why these voters don't buy Biden's argument.

If reporters actually came from these communities rather than J-schools and elite progressive bubbles, they'd be able to report more accurately ... and have a lot more skepticism about Biden and the bureaucratic state.
