“I believe the minimum result will be 53-47 Romney, over 300 electoral votes, and the Republicans will pick up the Senate,” the former House speaker said Thursday night on Fox News’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

Gingrich, who vied for the GOP presidential nomination earlier this year, named several swing states where he’s expecting success for Romney and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, including Wisconsin, Virginia, Florida and North Carolina. Gingrich added that Michigan and Pennsylvania are “starting to be in play.” Accordingly, he said, President Barack Obama looks “rattled.”
