Condoleezza Rice on Palin's experience

This clip isn’t remarkable so much for the questions asked by CNN’s Zain Verjee to Condoleezza Rice about Sarah Palin’s experience and lack thereof, but for the question that didn’t get asked. Rice dodges the question for the most part, but tells Verjee that a variety of experiences are helpful in foreign policy:

So what question did Verjee miss?  How about questioning whether Barack Obama, who has even less experience in foreign policy than the Governor of Alaska, could handle himself in crisis situations?  Obama, after all, wants to be President, not Vice President, and as such would be in charge of constructing and executing America’s foreign policy, all without any formal interactions at all with other nations – unlike Sarah Palin, who has to deal with Canada and Russia on the borders of her state.

Rice, I’m sure, would have graciously avoided answering that question as well.  Too bad CNN didn’t think to at least ask it.
