Did you know that X is the #1 news app in the Apple App Store?
It is, and that reflects the fact that Elon Musk's free speech platform has become the most trusted source of news in the world. And, despite what leftists want you to think, the partisan distribution of people who use X (I still call it Twitter, dammit!) is evenly distributed between Democrats and Republicans.

It wasn't always thus, and that is why progressives are so angry. Before Elon Musk bought the platform, it was dominated not just by Democrats but primarily by progressives who used censorship to create a liberal bubble in which conservatives could peruse approved posts and had to walk on eggshells. Banning the President of the United States was the ultimate example of that, but it turns out that banning the Babylon Bee saved the platform.
Elon Musk loved the Babylon Bee, and decided to save free speech. As much as Musk supports Donald Trump today, it was his idiosyncratic love of a Christian parody site that changed the world.
No doubt you have noticed that I use X all the time--it is my daily companion and provides the grains of sand that I use to build the pearls of my blog posts. I see something that is happening or a post that catches my attention and I put my own spin on it.
Twitter/X gives you as synoptic a view of what is happening as any news/opinion site possibly could. It is, without doubt, filled with trash, horrible opinions, propagandists, and almost every sort of bad actor you can find. It is also filled with news you can find nowhere else, opinions from across the political spectrum, up-to-the-second breaking news, and the thoughts of otherwise obscure but brilliant people who you would never be aware of aside from X.
I rarely run across something so far outside my Overton Window that I am truly repelled, and dealing with such things is easy enough: mute or block what is beyond the pale. That's why liberals falling onto their fainting couches are gaslighting you: their problem is not Nazi or Russian propaganda but ordinary people expressing differing opinions. They are appalled that they no longer dominate the conversation and control the flow of information.
It's really that simple.
Twitter was crucial to the success of the MAGA movement not because Elon Musk made Twitter/X a MAGA haven--look at those poll numbers, and you can see that Democrats and Republicans are here in equal measure--but because the news media was so like Pravda that having a space where people could see a more synoptic view of the world destroyed the Truman Show the media was trying to create.
I purposely follow the liberals as well as the conservatives because I don't want to be in a bubble, and I learn a lot about how the leftist brainwashing works. You can--quite literally--watch a hoax or Narrative™ be developed and pushed out in realtime. It is quite striking to see how the propaganda machine works.
Remember when the joyful warriors tried the “weird” attack? And when it didn’t work, they went back to Hitler thing? 🤣

It is WILD how the memo gets sent out and all these frauds immediately start parroting the talking points. pic.twitter.com/ORlCI4h00g
I saw the "weird" meme pop up before most Americans, get tried out and refined on Twitter/X, and watched it rolled out in a few days. If you were on Twitter /X, you could watch the transnational elite develop their hoaxes before your eyes. The same was true for the "cheap fakes" meme; anybody on Twitter/X had seen videos of Biden stumbling and mumbling for years, so none of us was shocked when Biden collapsed on stage in the debate.
This is why liberals are so afraid of Elon Musk and X. It is the single greatest threat to their information monopoly, and it must be destroyed. There is a worldwide movement to do so, and if Trump had lost, it would have succeeded. Of that, I have no doubt. Musk put everything--all his wealth and his companies--on the line to save free speech. In both Europe and the UK, there was and is a movement to arrest Elon Musk and even extradite him, which I have written in recent days and before.
Modern-day fascists always call others fascists.

Case in point? Rachel Maddow saying that Kamala Harris should cancel Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Starlink contracts if she wins as political retribution.

Trump's victory makes that movement moot, thank God. As I write this, Trump is with Elon, watching the sixth test of Starship, which will eventually bring human beings to Mars. The left was willing to sacrifice the future of humanity to control your speech.
It is comforting to see that ordinary Americans of both parties are flocking to real news--not that everything you see on Twitter is real, exactly. How about UNFILTERED news? Rather than relying on propagandistic curators, you get to see a live feed of the world and piece together a realistic view of the world.
Sure, you can go down rabbit holes and get trapped in a bubble on Twitter/X, but unlike watching MSNBC or any other news channel, you have the opportunity to get out of that bubble. If you rely on legacy media, you are in one of the most restrictive information bubbles in the world, being fed propaganda 24/7/365.
As the transnational elite howls in despair over their loss of control, you should celebrate. Freedom may be chaotic, but the alternative is totalitarianism.
