On the one hand, you have to give Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton some credit for blurting out the truth after the massive drubbing that Democrats took in the recent election. 

He said the quiet part out loud: Democrats have gone insane on woke issues, especially in their support of alphabet ideology. 

On the other hand, when push came to shove, Moulton voted for alphabet ideology under pressure from his caucus, putting an exclamation point on how feckless politicians are. As a father, he opposes putting boys in girls' sports and locker rooms, but until the Democrats got shellacked at the polls, he was willing to engage in child sacrifice to please the left.

Moulton voted against the Republican bill to protect girls and women when the bill passed the House, so while I applaud his speaking out now, where was he when the chips were down? Oh, I know...sacrificing his family, his constituents, and his moral compass in order to avoid annoying the craziest people in his party. 

Moulton is now getting grief from those same people because he finally found the courage to state the obvious: alphabet ideology is insane, dangerous, and worst of all...bad for Democrats. 

It's one thing to sacrifice your family for political reasons, but unforgivable to sacrifice your political future, and Moulton is worried that Democrats will keep losing until they jettison the wackos. 

Jettisoning wackos is not popular with the loudest members of his party, and that includes most of the people who run the party. Moulton, by saying what is obviously true, is undermining one of the key pillars of leftist politics: reality is what they say it is. Trans-women are women, dammit! So Moulton is taking a drubbing from his party. Not just the farthest left--the Chair of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts refuses to take his call. 

Moulton is coming out as a brave truth-teller, rejecting the wing of the party that believes that psychosis gives one the superpower to remake reality. But, to be honest, I think he is just doing a Sister Soulja thing as a smart political move. The Democrats are going to have a civil war, and he expects that the saner half will eventually win. 

Perhaps I am mind-reading here, and none of us can read others' minds. But if he really were standing on principle or, for that matter, speaking up for women, he might have voted differently when it counted, you would think. 

Still, he is probably smart to piss off the left as a career move.

Never underestimate the sociopathic tendencies of politicians. I watch Moulton say the "hard truths" to his party and think, "Hey! He sounds sane!" But then I look at his voting record and see that He went along with his party on all the insanity until it started costing him power. 

The left is slowly starting to realize that their ideas are no longer popular in America:

Now, I admit that sociopaths mimicking common sense and morality are better than psychopaths acting psychopathic, so a Democrat Party pretending to be sane is better than what we have had lately on the Left, but I can't help remembering that until just a few days ago almost every Democrat was all-in on empowering people like this:

If I sound too cynical, I'm not sorry. The Democrats have empowered some of the most insane people in America and the world. They have been flying transgender flags at the Vatican, putting porn in schools, pushing kids to be sterilized and mutilated, and harming women and children to satisfy whack jobs in their party. 

They put THIS MAN in charge of the nation's health. 

So, color me skeptical about the conversion we are supposedly witnessing.

To me it looks like political maneuvering. Maneuvering in the right direction, which is good. But sincere?

I doubt it.
