Ed has a post coming up about why the Joe Biden "garbage" comments will stick. In this, he is exactly right. He had a post just prior to this one about Walz's sticking with the NaziGarbageDeplorableVectorsofinfectionInsurrectionist message while claiming to be a great unifier of the country.
Kamala Harris' speech last night opened with much the same message. It was not off the cuff. She said what was written on the teleprompter because she could only speak coherently when doing so.

Harris was more sly about attacking Donald Trump's supporters, but the message was clear in light of the past week's characterization of the Madison Square Garden rally: we are Nazis, Bitter Clingers, Deplorables, Insurrectionists, Disinformers, Cultists, or, as Joe Biden said out loud and on video, Garbage.

Joe Biden's "Kinsley Gaffe" was hardly an outlier. This "gaffe" was just one of many in which Republicans and, indeed,the entire working class have been derided. Kamala's campaign itself has pushed out the message time and again.
Obama had the audacity to ask when the country had become so divisive the other day right after both he & his wife gave speeches ridiculing, black men, all men and some women for not voting for Harris.

That's why the leftist media is working hard to clean up Biden's comments, although, to be fair, many are not. It is too obvious, on camera, going viral on TV, and claiming that Biden left out an apostrophe is laughable.

The thing is that we have heard it all before, both the excuses and the sentiment. One reporter explained that this was just an old man who was unable to speak anymore, although the same media outlets shopped the ridiculous idea that Joe Biden is also "sharp as a tack."

President Trump was more gracious than most voters will be. His comment was that Joe Biden is too senile to know that he said this. That's probably right, although Biden was saying what all Democrats believe. It's true that he didn't know he was saying it, but as senile people do they casually drop truth bombs, saying things aloud they would never say if they were more self-conscious. We've all seen it.

The reaction of voters was not outrage, especially. It was weary resignation that the Democrats all believe this, and determination to take out the trash--by which I mean Democrat politicians.

It is far too late for Democrats to pretend they care about the working class. People know what the elite think of them, not because we are mind readers, but because we have eyes and ears. Bill Clinton, for all his faults, didn't stew in hate for the working man and woman. The current crop of Democrats do.
It's all hate, all the time. JOY! was always a farce, and ironically they pushed the message out on TikTok of all places, which is not exactly where working-class people hang out.

Trump says some pretty rough things, but people genuinely believe he has their best interests at heart. The thing is, WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU ANY MORE, media folks. We spent three days talking about a comic's kinda bad joke that fell flat; the media is trying to memory-hole the President of the United States calling half of all Americans "garbage." The Democrats are trying to furiously walk back the comment, but not the sentiment. Their preposterous argument boils down to this: they will unify the country by ostracizing us. This is their view of unity: an America without you and me.

This controversy will stick around not because it is a convenient hit on Kamala Harris. No doubt Republicans would "pounce" and "seize" on the issue whether it were fair or not. It will stick around because we all know the truth: the left HATES us.
