Biden Administration and Democrats Will Abandon Israel Post Election

The Biden administration has been in a terrible bind over the past year.

In September 2023, Jake Sullivan declared that there was peace in the Middle East due to Biden's tremendous leadership. One week later, all hell broke loose.

Since October 7th, 2023, Biden and his crew have had to walk a tightrope; on the one hand, they can't abandon Israel because Americans support our ally, and Democrats need Jewish votes in order to have a shot at winning a close election; on the other hand, the progressive faction of their party--including their shock troops in Antifa and Students for Justice in Palestine--are serious about their allegiance to the Hamas/Hezbollah wing of the Islamist movement.

To be fair, most American presidents have had mixed feelings about Israel (except Donald Trump). Some just don't like Israel, but all of them but Trump believed that the Jewish state was a thorn in the side of American foreign policy. It is inconveniently placed near strategically important oil reserves.

But this White House''s disdain for Israel is more visceral and was shared by the Obama wing of the party. Bill Clinton or George Bush (I and II) would pressure Israel for strategic reasons, maintaining a balance, while Obama and the Biden administration just dislike Israel.

Getting Biden administration support for, or even acquiescence to, Israeli war policy has been spectacularly difficult. The Biden administration has slow-walked arms purchases, made demands about war policy, and pressured Israel to go easy on Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.

Many times over the past year, Biden and Harris have echoed the talking points of the anti-Israel protesters, and Harris did so just the other day. She agreed with a protester that Israel was committing genocide, and it's pretty clear that she does but plays that down in order to retain Jewish votes.

Kamala's ally, Bernie Sanders, has said multiple times that Kamala Harris is hiding her actual policies in order to get elected. Don't worry, he says, she is with us. She just needs to get elected. Obviously, that is true because Harris has changed her stated policies on everything since getting the nomination.

Now, the Biden administration has signaled--a week before election day--that Israel policy is going to radically shift. Israel has kicked the terrorist organization the UNRWA out of Israel, and this has made the Biden administration big sad. UNRWA has been a partner with Hamas for decades, UNRWA schools teach children to be terrorists, funnel resources to terrorists, and UNRWA employees (including doctors and teachers) participated in the October 7th attacks.

Sinwar was killed holding a UNRWA ID card.

State Department Matthew Miller came out strong in opposition to Israel's perfectly rational policy of kicking terrorist supporters out of Israel. He enunciated the U.S. position that there will be consequences for Israel's stance. Consequences that will come after the election, of course.

We have all been expecting Biden and Harris to abandon Israel post-election. That is one reason why Netanyahu has pushed forward on many war-related issues despite pressure--if Biden wins, the balance of the war will change.

Ironically, many Arab countries implicitly support Israel more than the Biden administration. They see the real threat to be Iran, unlike the Biden administration, which has funneled billions of dollars to Iran and are anxious to finalize the process begun with the Abraham Accords. Saudi Arabia has signaled this strongly, and Jordan actually has helped Israel defend itself from outside attacks.

Whether Harris wins or loses, aid to Israel will begin to dry up. Of that I have no doubt. As with Obama, Biden and Harris want an alliance with the terror state Iran.
