The United Nations runs about half the schools in Gaza, in addition to providing a wide range of other “services” in the Hamas-run territory.

In the halcyon days of the Trump administration, the United States quit funding the organization, but one of the first things Joe Biden did was turn the money spigots back on—billions of dollars from the US and Europe.

Bad move. As I have documented before, the United Nations Relief and Works Administration for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) is a corrupt, Hamas-supporting agency that helps educate and recruit the next generation of terrorists whose goal is the elimination of the Jews.

There are countless examples of how evil the UNRWA is–videos of children doing plays in school where they mimic killing Jews, for instance–but few things can compare to this: a UNRWA schoolteacher was one of the hostage holders as was a doctor who works for the agency.

A teacher and a doctor. Holding hostages. Paid for with your tax dollars.

A representative of UN Women refused to condemn the horrifying acts of sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas on Oct. 7.

One of the hostages, recently released from Gaza, revealed on Wednesday that he was held for nearly 50 days in an attic by a teacher from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The story was publicized on X by Channel 13 journalist Almog Boker.

The hostage also said that the teacher who held him captive was a father of 10 children. He had barely been provided food or medical attention, and was locked away by the teacher, he said.

Furthermore, Boker’s report also cites another hostage saying that he was held hostage by a Gazan doctor as he was treating children patients.

The United Nations has benefited from the liberal delusion that anything multinational or multicultural should give us the warm and fuzzies because international collaborations are just one more step along the path to peace.

Yeah, well, wars are multinational and often multicultural. The Axis powers, for instance, featured actors from many countries and cultures. Being “diverse” tells you nothing about whether something is good or evil. And for the most part, the UN is an agent of evil.

UNRWA schools even teach math and physics using antisemitism:

UNRWA, which has received nearly $1 billion from the US over the past 5 years, and similar amounts from the UK, EU, and others, uses textbooks written by the Palestinian Authority, which have been found to consistently promote Jihad, antisemitism, and suicide attacks against Israelis. The report gave several more examples of this from 2023 textbooks, including excerpts from math and science lessons. In one example, a fourth-grade math problem reads: “The number of martyrs of the First Intifada (the Intifada of Rocks) is 1,392 martyrs, and the number of martyrs of the Al-Aqsa Intifada is 4,673. The number of martyrs in the two intifadas is _________ martyrs.”

Another demonstrates Newton’s Second Law of Physics by displaying an animation of a Palestinian aiming a slingshot at approaching Israeli soldiers, and asks students to identify the forces that affect the projectile after its release from the slingshot and spring. First-graders are taught as part of a grammatical exercise that “Jihad is one of the gates to paradise.”

A chapter discussing the role of women in combat in Islam glorifies a woman who fatally stabbed a Jew as “justly an example of a brave Muslim woman in defense of the Muslims.”

The argument for continuing to fund the UN and its subsidiary organizations is that it gives us leverage with the bad guys, allowing us to influence what is being done and moderate them.

How’s that working out? About as well as our pouring billions into the coffers of Iran in the vain hope of making them like us.

One of the great virtues of the Trump approach was its clarity. If you are our friend, we help you. If you are neutral, we leave you alone. And if you are our enemy, we hurt you.

Biden rewards our enemies, hoping they will suddenly change their minds and love us.

The US should pull out of the UN, or at least the UNRWA, and encourage our European allies to do the same. All we are doing is funding terrorists who plot not only to kill Israelis but Americans as well.

There have been 74 attacks on Americans since 10/7. Yet we keep helping Iran and the Palestinians as they hold Americans hostage.
