The most amazing cultural development this year took place in the past week -- Mel Brooks announced a sequel to Spaceballs, decades after the Schwartz was first with us. Christian Toto says the unthinkable about Spaceballs, while Ed defends its honor ... all tongue in cheek, of course! (That's why the 'fanboy' in the headline is singular and not plural.) We discuss Brook's place in American culture for a good long while, and are amazed at his energy and spunk at nearly 99 years old. We also talk about Hollywood celebrities turning out for the "No Kings" protests, lament Jason Bateman's condescending shot at Trump voters, and dig into Robin Wright's equal-pay protest in House of Cards, which opens up a larger debate about how the entertainment industry treats women as they age.
