Stalked by the Boston Globe, Gov. Mitt Romney has fired the lawn care company that cared for his yard and employed illegals. He’s set to deliver a magnum opus on religion from Texas tomorrow night. Meanwhile, his main rival at the moment, Gov. Mike Huckabee, is taking damage for three bad stories at last count: The Dumond parole and whether Huckabee lied about his role in that; his stance on closing Guantanamo; and being behind the curve on the NIE. Romney can’t help all that timing, but his speech is one of the few things that might take the glare off his rival for a while.
