A choke for the ages, with Team USA letting it slip away despite leading 2-0 with less than four minutes to play. The U.S. still had a one-goal lead at that point; Canada had no choice but to pull its goalie and send another forward onto the ice in order to try to tie the game. Somehow, after the next face-off, the puck bounced to an American in the U.S. end who sent it down the ice at Canada’s empty net. If it goes in, the U.S. clinches gold.

It hit the post. Around 20 seconds later, Canada sent the game to overtime.
