Via Political Wire, it’s not the instant classic that the Perry lip-reading video was but it’s plenty good. The missing ingredient, of course, is the vocal impersonation. In the Perry clip, the voice was so spot-on that it ended up elevating a fun gimmick into a surreal goof on how incoherent he’s sounded at times during the debates. In this case, they give Bachmann’s accent the ol’ college try but can’t quite escape the cutesiness of having a guy play her. Someone needs to hire the producer (producers?) and give him a budget for pro voice actors, as there’ll be lots of comedy gold in them thar political hills to be mined over the next year. Maybe Arianna could pony up? Not her usual M.O., I know.
