People are sending this around like it’s some egregious gaffe or insult. Why? Unlike Heather MacDonald, I’m willing to play a little identity politics in the interests of victory — emphasis on a little. His talking point here, that conservative policies are bad for women, is standard lefty fare; to the extent Palin subscribes to them, he’s only giving her the same business he’d give Bush, Cheney, McCain, et al. Have we already reached the point where we’re fake-outraged at the idea that a woman in office could conceivably be a net loss for women, notwithstanding the virtue of having the glass ceiling shattered in the process? I’d hate to have to revisit that theory if/when Her Majesty reemerges in 2012.
Exit question: Actually, it’s perfectly clear why people are sending this around, isn’t it?
