No matter. This is the charitable, politic way to play it, and certainly what McCain would want her to say when asked. The last thing he needs is the Bush family involving itself in the race and painting an even bigger bullseye on itself. That was Billy Jeff’s mistake vis-a-vis Hillary, and needless to say, his approval rating wasn’t south of 30. Besides, like I’ve said before, this stuff has diminishing returns. If McCain’s reduced to running ads in October targeting Michelle Obama, our straits will be even more dire than we fear.
