That in the span of just a few weeks, he and Matthews have jeopardized the progressive cred MSNBC’s been trying to build for more than a year? Or is it the fact that it gives Clinton supporters ample justification to drive home to the left how this network operates? Note Taylor Marsh’s pointed reference to Olby’s guest list. MSNBC said Shuster, who apologized on the air for his comment, has been temporarily suspended from appearing on all NBC news broadcasts except to offer his apology.

“NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks,” MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said, adding the network was hopeful the debate would take place as planned.

Belated exit question: When does the bottom-feeding MSNBC brass start to “take seriously” their fair-haired boy’s penchant for Nazi analogies and minimization of Al Qaeda and the Klan?
