Hillary wages war on ... MSNBC

Here’s the transcript of the fateful “pimped out” remark and here’s Wolfson’s declaration of war on Hillary’s behalf. What’s the most painfully awesome part? That it gives our last, best hope for a Republican victory a handy dandy pretext for playing the victim ahead of Tuesday’s showdown with Obama? That she’s threatening to punish MSNBC by pulling out of a debate just three days after committing to one on — gasp! — Fox? That it’s Olbermann’s crony, the boy wonder to his nutroots Batman, who’s the target of all the wrath — at a moment when Olby himself is in hot water with the left? That after having already apologized on air once today, he’s being forced to grovel again tonight? That in the span of just a few weeks, he and Matthews have jeopardized the progressive cred MSNBC’s been trying to build for more than a year? Or is it the fact that it gives Clinton supporters ample justification to drive home to the left how this network operates? Note Taylor Marsh’s pointed reference to Olby’s guest list. Welcome to the club, chumps.

Update: Make that 32 flavors of awesome. Shuster’s been suspended.

MSNBC said Shuster, who apologized on the air for his comment, has been temporarily suspended from appearing on all NBC news broadcasts except to offer his apology.

“NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks,” MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said, adding the network was hopeful the debate would take place as planned.

Belated exit question: When does the bottom-feeding MSNBC brass start to “take seriously” their fair-haired boy’s penchant for Nazi analogies and minimization of Al Qaeda and the Klan?

Update: Had the wrong link for Taylor Marsh. It’s fixed now.
