It’s been a rough day, with every hour bringing news of an innovative erosion of privacy or freedom that’s been going on unbeknownst to us for years. So, chew on this and feel like America still exists!
McDonald’s is opening its eyes to breakfast by moonlight.
The Oak Book-based chain is testing a late-night value menu called “After Midnight” that lets customers mix and match its best-selling breakfast and lunch items like the Egg McMuffin or Big Mac, with hash browns or fries.
Adding to the array are the Egg White Delight, Sausage McMuffin, Chicken Nuggets, the chain’s new Quarter Pounders, with bacon and cheese, habanero ranch, deluxe with all the fixings, and the Double Quarter Pounder.
The balance of the usual Dollar Menu, with items like the Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger and McChicken sandwich, are also available along with the sausage burrito, fruit n’ yogurt parfait, oatmeal and hotcakes with sausage. Desserts and McCafe beverages are also available.
Now, it’s unclear how much of your McDonald’s metadata will eventually make it to Michelle Obama, so you may want to keep that in mind. Normally I wouldn’t worry about it, but the blending of the drone program with pizza delivery capabilities could portend trouble.
Exit question: Better news, the announcement of Burger King delivery in select markets last year or this?
