Poisoned Ivy: Jewish Yale Student Stabbed in the Eye During Campus Protest

Hundreds of Yale University students participated in an anti-Israel demonstration on campus Friday night. Non-students participated, too.

Students pitched tents to make an encampment outside the Schwarzman Center where a Board of Trustees meeting was being held with top university officials.

There were about a dozen police cruisers from the New Haven Police Department and the university as the demonstration began. Mostly the police presence was to direct traffic and make sure traffic flowed without interruption.

New Haven police said, “We are assisting Yale at their request, but our involvement thus far has been limited to ensuring traffic is flowing freely.”

Things turned violent when a female Jewish student was stabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag by a male protester. She reported the physical attack but police said they could do nothing.

She is reported to be the editor-in-chief of the Yale Free Press. She was covering the protest. Sahar Tartak said she and a friend were suddenly surrounded by demonstrators. They were singled out, she said, because they were wearing Hasidic Jewish clothing. The crowd formed a blockade around them to stop them from filming the protest.

“There’s hundreds of people taunting me and waving the middle finger at me, and then this person waves a Palestinian flag in my face and jabs it in my eye,” Tartak told The Post.

“When I tried to yell and go after him, the protesters got in a line and stopped me,” she added.

The male protester who stabbed a female Jewish student ran away like a sniveling coward. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital to get her eye checked out.

Tartak criticized Yale for not cracking down on the protest. Demonstrators have blocked entrances to buildings on campus as they protest the Israel-Hamas war.

A nonprofit watchdog group, Stop Antisemitism, posted a photo Tartak took of the cowardly male who stabbed her in the eye. Stop Antisemitism asks for help identifying him.

The protesters are using demonstrations at Yale to show solidarity with the protesters at Columbia University. Yale put a 11:30 pm curfew on the demonstration but nothing happened when that curfew was not met. Students have declared the encampment a ‘Liberated Zone.’

Protesters chanted for the annihilation of Israel and denounced America. These are not innocent students naively protesting a war. These are indoctrinated college students who have been taught that America is bad and Israel is evil. The protests are funded by dark money organizations with Marxist ambitions. They have no interest in democracy but in violently overthrowing the American government.

How ironic. I've been told it is Donald Trump who is the threat to democracy.

What is it going to take for some adults to find the guts to stop this garbage? Officials at Columbia University had the right idea when they arrested some of the demonstrators but they were soon released from police custody and back at it the next day. They are still there.

Are they willing to wait it out and see what happens? How about when it escalates to the point that a Jewish student is killed? Is that what university officials are waiting on?
