Kamala's Campaign Communication Director is a Defund the Police Kind of Guy

Kamala Harris goes through staffers like a hot knife through butter. This latest announcement of a new staff member is for her campaign for re-election as vice president, not her White House staff. This one is a radical Defund the Police Democrat, a former Hillary Clinton staffer.

Brian Fallon has been hired as Kamala’s communication director. Fallon went from working for Hillary to being the head of Demand Justice, a radical progressive legal advocacy organization that works to change the composition of the federal judiciary. It pressures the Senate to confirm progressive nominations to judicial positions. It pushes for expanding and stacking the Supreme Court. In 2018, Brian Fallon co-founded the group. The group spent extensively on television ads against the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh in 2018. It also spent $1M on a campaign ad in support of the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson. Demand Justice supported Stephen Breyer’s retirement from the Supreme Court. Many Republican senators cited Demand Justice’s support of Jackson as evidence that she supports packing the Supreme Court, despite her refusal to say whether or not she supports that move. I would argue that her refusal to answer the question was reason enough to hold that opinion of her. Remember how we were told she wasn’t a progressive activist but a moderate-leaning judge? I think Paul Ryan said as much at the time.

He made similar remarks when he introduced her to her first federal judgeship in 2012. Paul Ryan’s sister-in-law is married to Jackson’s brother-in-law.

As I wrote about earlier, Hillary Clinton is being called to play surrogate for Joe Biden’s re-election campaign. I think that is a bone-headed decision given the fact that Hillary is an election denier (she denied Trump won in 2016 against her) and she is a two-time loser when it comes to her runs for president. She called Trump supporters deplorables and she didn’t even bother to campaign in Wisconsin in 2016. She was the first presidential candidate to not campaign in Wisconsin since 1972. But, hey, if Biden wants to rely on Hillary helping him, that is fine by me. Let her torpedo his campaign, too.

In June 2020 Fallon supported defunding the police.

Is that the message Kamala wants to send duirng her re-election? She tweeted out information for people to contribute to provide bail money for the Summer of Love rioters. The campaign is thrilled with the hire.

Fallon, who is known for a hard-hitting, nimble communications style, joins a growing team of aides focused on supporting the vice president’s political activity, with top Biden campaign aides planning an expansive role for her over the next year.

The campaign confirmed Fallon’s hire on Tuesday.

“Brian brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge on the issues that matter most to the American people,” Sheila Nix, Harris’s campaign chief of staff, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have him join the team, and know he will be a huge asset to reelecting President Biden and Vice President Harris.”

Fallon worked as an aide to Attorney General Eric Holder and Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), now the Senate majority leader so he has a history of working for the far-left wing of the Democrat Party. He will have no problem crafting snarling partisan attacks against Republicans during the campaign. Kamala Harris as vice president is just one of many reasons we have to oust Joe Biden in 2024. I don’t think Joe Biden will last through a second term. That means Kamala would be president and that is something none of us want.
