Migrant buses stopped at Kamala's house in D.C. on Christmas Eve- Who sent them?

Instead of coal in her stocking, Kamala Harris received three buses of illegal aliens as a present on Christmas Eve. It was a reminder to the border czar that the Biden border crisis is alive and thriving, and border states are bracing for the end of Title 42.

Headlines scream about the freezing temperatures the migrants faced as they got off the buses in Washington, D.C. Here’s a little news flash for all – it’s been bitterly cold in Texas, too, even along the southern border. Nonetheless, over the span of Christmas weekend, December 23-25, the number of illegal migrants did not slow down. According to CBP, the numbers are:

Del Rio Sector – 4,144
El Paso Sector – 3,333
Yuma Sector – 2,577
Rio Grande Valley Sector – 2,385

So far, Governor Abbott’s office has not acknowledged the migrant buses that arrived in D.C. on Christmas Eve. There has not been acknowledgement from Arizona Governor Ducey, either.

DHS released a statement on Christmas Eve that the migrants face expulsion while Title 42 is still in effect.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) continues to fully enforce our immigration and public health laws at the border. Individuals and families attempting to enter without authorization are being expelled, as required by court order under the Title 42 public health authority, or placed into removal proceedings. As temperatures remain dangerously low all along the border, no one should put their lives in the hands of smugglers, or risk life and limb attempting to cross only to be returned.

Regardless of nationality, anyone attempting to enter without authorization is subject to expulsion under Title 42. Those who cannot be expelled pursuant to Title 42 may be placed in expedited removal and anyone ordered removed subject to a bar on entry for 5 years under Title 8. Venezuelans attempting to enter the United States between ports of entry also continue to be returned to Mexico, and will be barred from the Venezuela Migration Enforcement Process announced in October.

DHS continues to lead a whole of government strategy to secure the borders and build safe, orderly, and humane immigration processes. There are 23,000 agents and officers working to secure the Southwest border and the United States Government continues to work closely with our partners in Mexico to reinforce coordinated enforcement operations to target human smuggling organizations and bring them to justice. That collaboration includes migration checkpoints, additional resources and personnel, joint targeting of human smuggling organizations, and expanded information sharing related to transit nodes, hotels, stash houses, and staging locations.

They are on it, y’all. Please. What a joke. Low temperatures or not, nothing is stopping the human smuggling operations along the border. Human traffickers are making millions of dollars and have control of the southern border. So do drug cartels who are using migrants as drug mules. At this point, who would believe a single word coming from DHS these days?

About 110 to 130 men, women and children on three buses arrived at the Naval Observatory on Saturday night.

The governor’s office has not confirmed he sent the latest buses and did not respond to a request for comment Sunday afternoon. But in a statement last month, Abbott said the “busing strategy has successfully provided much-needed relief to our border communities.”

In a statement to The Washington Post, the White House condemned the action and said Abbott did not coordinate with federal or local authorities before the migrants were dropped off in the cold.

No one is coordinating with Governor Abbott (or Governor Ducey) either, which is one of the problems. When border governors are left to fend for themselves, that’s what they do. This is the federal government’s responsibility yet Texas taxpayers are footing the bill. If the president and the border czar will not even bother to make a trip to the southern border to see for themselves what is happening, then the illegal aliens will be sent to them and to sanctuary cities who virtue-signal about all being welcome in their cities. Funny how a bus with only 50 illegal aliens on it will send a sanctuary city mayor to a microphone demanding the federal government send funds immediately to help with the expenses.

Last week, Governor Abbott pointed the blame where it belongs – on the president.

In a letter to Biden on Tuesday, Abbott said the state is ill-equipped to house thousands of migrants who are coming into the country. Abbott also acknowledged the cold temperatures in Texas.

“Your policies will leave many people in the bitter, dangerous cold as the polar vortex moves into Texas,” Abbott wrote. The letter does not mention plans to send more buses of migrants to Harris’ home.

El Paso declared a state of emergency last week in response to freezing temperatures and shelters being unable to house all of the migrants. On Friday night, the City Council extended that declaration for 30 days.

Migrant buses are not going to stop traveling to sanctuary cities and to D.C. to remind those in charge what is happening at the southern border. We’ll see where the next buses go.
