Biden thanks King Felipe for taking migrants from the U.S. southern border

Joe Biden arrived in Madrid from Germany on Tuesday along with other NATO country leaders. Jill Biden was already there, having skipped the G7 in Germany. Jill and Queen Letizia made visits to a cancer research center and a Ukrainian refugee center. Jill brought along two of Hunter Biden’s daughters to meet the queen and visit the Ukrainian refugees.

While the women were off doing their thing, Joe had a bilateral meeting at the palace with King Felipe. during the meeting, he thanked King Felipe for agreeing to take in illegal migrants crossing the southern border into the U.S. Think about that. Biden’s border crisis has been such a humanitarian disaster that he is asking other countries to take in the migrants apprehended as refugees. In this case, Biden played up the fact that the migrants from Central America speak Spanish.

The president noted many children in the United States these days are native Spanish speakers and that the future of America ‘depends considerably’ on the assimilation of that population.

‘You know, I tell people that the idea we’ve always had great migration flows into the United States over the years – we’re a nation of immigrants. But this is a statistic that – I think it’s 24 out of every 100 students in grades one through 12 in America speaks Spanish, speak Spanish as an original language,’ Biden said during a meeting with the king at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

‘So the future of my country depends considerably, an assimilation of a population that has grown to have the same values that you possess,’ he said.

The Hispanic population in the United States is the largest growing population.

It reached 62.1 million in 2020, an increase of 23% over the previous decade that outpaced the nation’s 7% overall population growth, Pew Research Center found.

Biden also thanked the King for his help with migrants crossing the United States’ southern border.

‘Your help in Latin America is also extremely important,’ he said.

‘The help and support and the input has been extremely valuable,’ he noted.

Spain has committed to taking a significant number of Central American refugees coming illegally into the U.S. The largest group of migrants coming over the southern border are from Central American countries, which are Spanish speaking.

You can’t make this stuff up. Biden’s description of “great migration flows” is just insulting. The Biden border crisis isn’t some organic shift in population. It is the direct result of Biden’s dismissal of policies and agreements that secure the southern border from illegal migration. The situation is so bad now that he has to reach out to other countries, in this case Spain, and beg them to take in some of the migrants. Biden speaks of assimilation as it existed in decades past. Illegal immigrants are welcomed by this administration as equals of legal immigrants. Children will learn English in school but parents may not, for example. The push to assimilate is not as strong as it once was.

Joe Biden should be embarrassed of the mess he has intentionally created on the southern border yet he is not at all. He goes hat in hand to Spanish-speaking countries to ask them to take in the illegal migrants on our southern border, just as he is doing to oil-producing nations begging for more oil production. Not so long ago, America led the world – not so much anymore, thanks to the doddering old man in the White House.

Biden finally issued a statement about the horrific discovery of migrants crammed into an abandoned unrefrigerated tractor-trailer who died from heat exposure in temperatures well over 100 degrees in San Antonio. He accused politicians of grandstanding over the subject.

Biden called the loss of life “horrifying and heartbreaking.”

“While we are still learning all the facts about what happened and the Department of Homeland Security has the lead for the investigation, initial reports are that this tragedy was caused by smugglers or human traffickers who have no regard for the lives they endanger and exploit to make a profit,” he said.

Biden said that the tragedy “underscores the need to go after the multi-billion dollar criminal smuggling industry preying on migrants and leading to far too many innocent deaths.” He noted a recent initiative to target smugglers in the region that was announced at the Summit of the Americas. He said that 2,400 arrests have been made in three months and the effort will “intensify.”

But Biden pushed back against what he called “political grandstanding” from his critics.

“Exploiting vulnerable individuals for profit is shameful, as is political grandstanding around tragedy, and my Administration will continue to do everything possible to stop human smugglers and traffickers from taking advantage of people who are seeking to enter the United States between ports of entry,” he said.

He is likely speaking of Governor Abbott who is left to deal with the constant flow of illegal migrants crossing the southern border into Texas. Others are speaking out, too, who know firsthand the humanitarian crisis created by Biden’s border crisis.

“Add 46 to the Biden/Harris/Mayorkas/Garland death toll. Not one word from any of them about enforcing our laws & securing our border,” the National Border Patrol Council said in a tweet. “This administration & its policies are the single biggest factor driving the criminal chaos on the border, and they must accept responsibility.”

“These deaths are on Biden,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted. “They are a result of his deadly open border policies. They show the deadly consequences of his refusal to enforce the law.”

“This tragic loss of life can be attributed to the Biden Admin open borders policies,” former Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said. “Nothing is compassionate about policies encouraging smugglers and traffickers to treat people like cargo. We need to enforce our laws to prevent these tragedies.”

Lawmakers in the House, meanwhile, called on Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to resign over the incident.

It’s all about politics for Joe Biden. He isn’t concerned about national security or sovereign borders. He has offered no solutions but to promise to send more taxpayer dollars to Northern Triangle countries to help with “root causes”. He and the border czar, Kamala Harris, simply pretend the problem does not exist.
