Yesterday I described how Candace Owens is doing her best to destroy Charlie Kirk's legacy and punish his widow, family and friends in the process. All of this is literally based on a dream that Candace had in which Charlie told her he'd been betrayed by everyone.
For nearly three months, Owens has been insinuating (and then directly stating) that Kirk was murdered by a cabal of foreign interests and that his murder was aided and abetted by people he trusted at TPUSA. And for all that time, TPUSA has for the most part sat back and taken the slander without responding. But yesterday, they finally stopped waiting for Owens decency to kick in and announced a change in their approach.
This clip is about 7 minutes long and most of it is devoted to denying all of the allegations Owens has made. As I watched the clip, I thought they were building up to saying they planned to sue Owns for slander. "The attacks and allegations from Candace are either lies or they are innuendos thrown around with a total reckless disregard for the truth," Blake Neff said. Reckless disregard for the truth is the legal standard for defamation. But as you'll see, after saying Candace had crossed that legal line, Neff then backed off. Instead of suing, they are inviting Candace on some kind of livestream to discuss things.
WOW - Must Watch.

After enduring months of harassment, Turning Point USA is responding to Candace Owens’s bizarre conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Maybe they are doing this because they don't want to come down too hard on Owens. If so, I think it's a mistake. Owens is a conspiracy theorist and like all conspiracy theorists, nothing anyone can say ever changes her mind. She either denies having said what she said or implied or she finds some new nitpick to focus on. What she will not do is admit she was wrong about anything.
How do I know this? Well, just a few days ago someone sent a "tip" to Owens claiming all of her theories about Egyptian planes being part of Kirk's assassination plot were tied back to a specific address in Wilmington, Delaware. The address, according to the tip, was One Rodney Square 920 North King Street Wilmington, DE 19801. Owens was thrilled to tell her audience this building was home to a bevy of federal agencies including the FBI and Secret Service.
In fact, the FBI does not have offices there but do you know who does? Candace Owens lawyer. The lawyer who is handling the lawsuit filed against her by the Macron family works in that building. Someone sent a bogus tip to Owens using the address taken from the lawsuit filed against her. She didn't recognize it but this was clearly part of a prank. Someone is having a good laugh at her expense.
Did Owens admit she was played? Of course not. Instead, she downplayed the fact that the key to the puzzle was the building where her lawyers work and instead expanded the map to include a bunch of other sites, including the actual FBI office in Wilmington which is several blocks away. Here's her revised and expanded map:
And here's her explanation of why this is all deeply suspicious taken from her show yesterday:
I'm just not liking all of this coincidence. It's starting to feel like a conspiracy if I'm being honest with you. And we should get back to our map now because it's getting a little squishy in Wilmington, Delaware. I'm feeling claustrophobic in Wilmington, Delaware. And I've never even been there. Okay, so here's our block. We got couple of blocks here. And we've told you yesterday, we've got this FBI suite in this building that's actually owned by the Wilmington Trust at 500 Delaware Avenue. We've got Breijit Lawyers at 919 North Market Street. Also in that building happens to be um Stacy Sheridan's registered agent. That's Stacy uh Sheridan of Turning Point USA. We're going to talk about her in a second. We've got the Wilmington Trust actual location which is at 1100 North Market. We told you about this cane uh this crane, pardon, this red crane at 1100 North King Street and that's BRC Bridge complex which is supposed to house Insight headquarters and they've got a French CEO. It's just a lot happening here.
She's saying nothing and she's proving even less. The FBI has 56 major field offices and 350 smaller resident agencies. They are literally all over the place. How does the fact that one of these offices sits in a federal building in downtown Wilmington a few blocks from Candace Owens' attorney (and also some other attorneys) prove anything?
"It's getting a little squishy in Wilmington," is not an argument. It's not even a question. It's just a stupid conspiracy feeling which means nothing.
What is she implying happened here? What is the actual conspiracy and, in an age of Zoom meetings and encrypted communications from anywhere in the world, why is the co-location of a few offices in Wilmington, Delaware significant? Like, explain to me why the conspirators couldn't have run this whole secret operation out of Austin, Texas or Seattle? There are probably lawyers and FBI offices there too. Whoever was on those Egyptian planes she's focused on could have called in from Delaware or even from the plane. She's got absolutely nothing. It's embarrassing how much nothing she has.
And yet, for a disturbing number of people, "It's just a lot happening here" and other, similar feats of illogic are reason enough to accuse Charlie Kirk's friends of murder.
While I'm at it, there's also another thing that Owens says a lot: Fed slop. Fed slop is shorthand for "the official story." By calling it "fed slop" you signal that you're one of the enlightened, initiated people who knows better. In this case, it means that Tyler Robinson didn't kill Charlie Kirk, that's just a cover story for normies who don't have Candace Owens' incredible investigation skills. But there's lot of solid evidence showing Tyler Robinson did kill Charlie Kirk. Dismissing the real story as Fed slop is lazy and also wrong. At his trial we're going to probably see even more evidence of Robinson's guilt than we know about already.
So, these are the reasons why I know that Owens is never going to admit she was wrong. No matter what the people at TPUSA say, Owens will just expand her map. She's move on to 3 new things she discovered during the discussion and never admit she was wrong. That's the nature of conspiracies. They are never wrong, they are only ever one step closer to the hidden truth.
Owens responded to the points made in the TPUSA video and, predictably, she denied saying some things and doubled down on others. You can watch it here if you're so inclined. She claims to see this as a win but if you watch her face with the sound off she's clearly irked that someone is calling her out as a liar.
TPUSA was right to stop letting Owens endlessly slander them but they were wrong to believe a conversation with her and a point-by-point rebuttal will matter. You can talk to her all day but she'll eventually just wander back to her own audience and tell them she was vindicated.
I'm speculating here, but maybe that's the point. If TPUSA sues, a court will apply actual rules of evidence to the nonsense Owens is spouting. Once they do that, the case that she has shown reckless disregard for the truth will be pretty strong. But she could still claim ignorance. Maybe the point of inviting her to this conversation is to close off that avenue of escape. Once they present her with the truth, personally face to face, she can't claim she didn't know. If she goes back to conspiracy theories and slander after that, TPUSA will have an even stronger case that she isn't ignorant she's recklessly disregarding the truth. I hope that's their endgame here.
