Everyone here seems to be giving Hillary Clinton a hard time and it’s only fair that we give her credit when she does the right thing. I suppose that job sadly falls to me. Clearly everyone in the media agrees that Donald Trump is just an awful person, right? And when Hillary did her one and only “interview” with CNN this week, she got on the right side of history and threw The Donald under the bus.

BRIANN KEILAR: Donald Trump is creating a lot of commotion on the other side. he’s a friend of yours, has been over the years. what’s your reaction to his recent comments that some mexican immigrants are rapists and criminals?

HILLARY CLINTON: I’m very disappointed in those comments. i feel very bad and very disappointed with him and with the republican party for not responding immediately and saying enough, stop it. but they are all in the same general area on immigration. you know, they don’t want to provide a path to citizenship, they range across a spectrum of being bee grudgingly welcoming. i’m going to talk about the good law abiding, productive members of the immigrant community that i personally know, that i’ve met over the course of my life that i would like to see have a path to citizenship.

Way to go, Madam Secretary. It’s important to take a principled stand. Clearly Trump has let you and all of America down. And in keeping with the lofty principles you always demonstrate, you should probably turn around and give back the money that he gave to both your political campaigns and your charitable foundation. After all, you wouldn’t want to be associated with such a person financially, right? So let’s get out that pen and start writing checks. How much would that be again?

Trump Has Donated At Least $100,000 To The Clinton Foundation. “New York real estate mogul Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka have donated a combined total of at least $105,000 to the Clinton Foundation, records show. “Donald J. Trump” is listed on the foundation’s website as giving between $100,000 and $250,000 to the charitable organization.”

Yes… well, that was just for the foundation. Weren’t there some campaign contributions? Ah, here they are.

Trump Has Donated Numerous Times To Hillary Clinton. “Clinton, the Democratic front-runner and former New York senator who had some say over policy that could have impacted Trump’s vast business dealings, received donations from both him and son Donald Trump Jr. on separate occasions in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007, according to state and federal disclosure records.”

Well, the whole thing probably only adds up to less than a paltry half million. That should be no problem for somebody who raised $45M for the primary already and who can bill that half million personally for two hours of public speaking. And think of poor Donald! He’s going to have to fund his entire campaign himself, so he could probably do with a few extra bucks.
