Living in the 21st Century - Driving That Tesla Model 'S'

I promised this a few weeks ago, but there have been so many events, both in the world and in my life, that I’m just now getting around to this. In short, I drove a self-driving Tesla, which mean that the car did nearly all the work. It was a delightful experience, though I’m holding out for the final version of “Full Self Driving,” which will let me read a book or take a nap or snuggle with my wife en route.

For Christmas this year, Helen and I went away. Most of our family was either traveling (the Insta-Daughter was in Australia with in-laws) or otherwise indisposed, so we went to Atlanta, had a very nice fancy Christmas dinner at the fancy hotel, and on the day after Christmas we went shopping (I was going to buy Helen a bunch of clothes but she didn’t find anything she liked, which was a big win for me!) and we tested a self-driving Tesla. I’d hoped to drive a Cybertruck, but they didn’t have any of those available for test drive so we drove a Model S.

Look Ma, no hands!

It was kind of an anticlimax in a way. Everything just worked with no excitement.
