ISU Police Chief Aaron Woodruff said Derek Lopez, 27, from El Paso, disrupted the “informational tabling” event on Monday, Oct. 13 and again on Friday, Oct. 17.

McLean County Young Republicans said Friday’s incident was captured on video by Lincoln (Illinois) Turning Point Field Representative Jessica Burback. The video has gone viral on conservative social media pages, including the Fox News Facebook page.

The video shows a man, identified as Lopez, telling a Turning Point member, “Jesus did it, so you know what I’ve got to do, right?”

He proceeded to pull the table covering, making a mess of the items on the table. He walked away, saying “Thanks guys and have a great day.”

ISU Police said they arrested Lopez for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. These are non-detainable offenses under Illinois’ SAFE-T-Act, so he was released on a notice to appear in court.

They've gotten away with their destructive temper tantrums for so long, every single arrest is a shock to the system.

Man. I love it.
