Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth endures unhinged and dishonest derision from some of the most entrenched, polluted, and powerful interests in America. Of course, he should wear their scorn as a badge of honor – an “award” to accompany the very real medals that he earned through years of steadfast service to this country, including combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Despite his notable volunteer service, the powerbrokers of the corrupt media and the arrogant Washington War Machine wage an open campaign of lies and smears against Hegseth. The vitriol directed at him reflects similar campaign vs. other America First leaders, such as Vice-President-elect JD Vance.
Why do people like Pete and JD elicit such harsh character assassination?
Well, both of them are viewed as “class traitors,” meaning that they disregard the potential perquisites of their credentials, especially Ivy League degrees. Someone like Hegseth, who graduated from Princeton and from Harvard, could easily saunter into the salons of power dotted along the Acela Corridor, to become another operator in the feeding frenzy of elitists who capitalize off of a crooked system.
