Senior Hamas Nukhba Brigade Commander Abu al-Baraa told the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) during interrogations on Thursday that he had a message for the remaining Hamas fighters, "I recommend everyone surrender, your fate is death."
This says something about the morale of Hamas rank-and-file and perhaps even up to mid-level command. This may also be a consequence of the breakdown of communications over the last several weeks as Israeli forces destroy the tunnel systems under Khan Younis and other places. According to the interrogation, this commander had plenty of munitions to fight to the death, but ... his team lost interest in martyrdom. Maybe the rest of them will do the same and surrender.
