On January 10, 2024, a large account on X (@WallStreetSilv) posted a video of a woman who wrote: “After 43, it’s almost impossible to find a real man. Men don’t like me because of my age. Are there any men here who would go out with me?”

The X post was captioned, “Women still looking for the perfect man in their 40s … Did modern feminism fool these women into thinking they could delay life choices? What mistake are women making these days?” …

Turns out, a lot of these videos are purportedly part of a marketing campaign by a porn website. They’re making up fake scenarios about a miserable woman in her 40s to attract guys to their account…and it seems to be working.

[I’ve seen a number of these on Instagram Reels of late. I just assumed they were promoting a dating app or something seedier. And apparently, I was right. Anyway, don’t go looking for love in all the wrong places, men or women. — Ed]
