“I’ve heard you… and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!” he posted in a statement. “My new media company’s first project is The Don Lemon Show. It will be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it, streaming on the platforms where the conversations are happening.”
“And you’ll find it first on X, the biggest space for free speech in the world,” he went on. “I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors. This is just the beginning so stay tuned.”
[Well, it’s a free market, so Lemon can test the market for his commentary. Unlike Tucker Carlson, though, Lemon did not have a large and dedicated audience at the time of his cancellation/firing nearly nine months ago, and hasn’t done much since to grow it. He’s been very, very quiet, which is probably going to describe the response to his new show on Twitter/X too. But hey, Lemon could surprise everyone, even though he showed no inclination to adapt while on CNN. It’s worth noting too that Lemon is claiming (largely accurately) that Twitter/X is the biggest market for free speech … which his fellow progressives have been trying to shut down ever since Elon Musk bought it and allowed it to become a free-speech-oriented platform.
