Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said in a statement on Monday that she was hospitalized over the weekend after experiencing a rapid onset of numbness in her face.
Britt said that the cause of the facial numbness was determined to be the swelling of a nerve in her face that was likely caused by “a post-viral infection.”
