KLAS 8 News Now reports U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nevada, is the lead sponsor of the Reproductive Health Patient Navigator Act (Senate Bill 5174).

“It’s not different than what I’ve seen in the past, the navigators at the federal government funded through grant funding for cancer patients,” she said in a statement. “Navigators that would help cancer patients access clinical trials or access essential services they needed based on the types of cancers they have. This is a similar type of program.”
