Tim Walz goes AWOL ... again

For the second time since Oct. 23, Angry Tim Walz wouldn’t debate Scott Jensen. In fact, Walz is perhaps the first sitting governor of Minnesota who didn’t participate in a televised statewide debate the entire year. If he won’t show up for his job interviews, why should we think that he’ll be there when things go splat?
Let’s be honest about something. Tim Walz was AWOL for the first 3 days of the George Floyd Riots. Last weekend, the Star Tribune endorsed Walz, citing Walz’s “steady leadership” over the past 4 years. As I said in this post, it’s impossible to provide leadership when you’re AWOL.

Tim Walz didn’t accept KSTP’s invitation to debate Scott Jensen on Sunday, Oct. 23. It isn’t coincidental that this debate would’ve been telecast statewide. Rather than confidently defend his ideas and his record, Gov. Walz hid from Minnesotans that night. While it was disappointing, it wasn’t surprising.
