He said Romney could resolve the issue by releasing his tax returns, insisting that “someone who worked at Bain Capital, a couple people, told me he didn’t pay taxes.”

Asked if that meant he had no apologies to offer Romney, Reid was categorical.

“Oh, none whatsoever, zero, none,” he said. “Because he had the opportunity at any time. But he was afraid to… ’cause he couldn’t.”
