When Indiana GOP officials meet this morning at state party HQ for a Republican Unity Press Conference, the veteran senator will be notably absent.

The list of attendees includes Gov. Mitch Daniels, GOP Senate nominee Richard Mourdock, Lt. Governor Becky Skillman and other statewide elected officials but an Indiana GOP spokesman confirmed late Tuesday that Lugar is not scheduled to attend.
