Despite the stereotypes, the fairer sex are more likely to hate cuddling and find excuses to avoid snuggling up in their partner’s arms at night, a study has claimed.

Men, on the other hand, are much keener to end the day with a hug and far more likely to kick up a fuss if they don’t get one.
One in four said cuddling in bed makes them hot and uncomfortable, and one in ten even admitted they would prefer to lie under the covers checking their Facebook account than cosying up with their other half.
