Lewis said it can be hard to see a plane coming head-on. Wings that are 300 square feet are reduced to a 10-inch profile, he said.

“You’d be surprised how hard it is to see an airplane coming at you,” Lewis told the Anchorage Daily News. “If you have to have something like this, it couldn’t have worked out better.”
