Thirty-one percent (31%) of U.S. voters rate the government response to the attempted terrorist bombing of a U.S. airliner on Christmas Day as good or excellent, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Thirty-eight percent (38%) say the government’s response has been poor.
Just 24% now have a favorable opinion of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, while 47% view her unfavorably. Last April, following her department’s release of a controversial report on right-wing extremist groups, Napolitano was viewed favorably by 30% and unfavorably by 45%.
