Landrieu on Republicans: "I've beat them every time, and I intend to do it again"

What follows is a short and sweet ‘closing argument’-style post heading into tomorrow’s runoff election in Louisiana — which, as Ed noted earlier, may not end up being remotely close.  In 2009, Sen. Mary Landrieu had this to say:

QUESTION: “My question would be about accountability. Would you be willing to accept 100% responsibility, 100% accountability for the failure or success of whatever you vote for?”

LANDRIEU: “I do, already, because that’s what I do every election.

Then, all of this happened:

Undeterred by the torrent of broken promises and ongoing, empirical failures, Landrieu remains insistent that Obamacare “is working:”

Which may help explain why Landrieu’s chief of staff told a room full of Democrats that she would continue supporting the Obama agenda 97 percent of the time if re-elected. Landrieu is such a committed liberal ideologue that she is incapable of distinguishing between failure and success. Remember, this is a woman who accused Obamacare critics of perpetrating a “pathetic lie” when they predicted the law wouldn’t lower costs. Which brings us to one final Landrieu flashback from last year — just in case any Louisianan needs a final kick in the rear to get out to the polls tomorrow:

Landrieu said of Republicans: “These guys will make up anything — always have. And I’ve beat them every time, and I intend to do it again.”

Your move, voters.  I’ll close with a public service announcement: Despite what you may have heard from disreputable sources, you may only vote once.
